Our construction update for the week of 3/8/2024 is below:
An overall site plan can be found on the last page of the update. This will help readers gain a better understanding of where on-site work is being performed.
During the week of March 4th, the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection subcontractors continued installing piping, conduit, hangers, and ductwork in Area’s C and B. Installation of treads, risers, landings and railings continued at Stair #4. Framing and sheathing of the exterior wall continued at the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd floors in Area’s C & B. Crews continued framing interior walls on the 2nd and 3rd floors in Areas C and B, and began on the 2nd floor in Area C. The concrete subcontractor continued installing mesh & rebar for the slab on decks in Area A and on Friday placed 280 cy of concrete for the slab on grade in Area B. Installation of the roofing system continues in Area B. The mason completed building the CMU block shaft for Elevator #1 in Area B, and began at Elevator #3 in Area A. The site contractor continued excavating in Area A for underground conduit & piping and installing the infiltration system.
Looking ahead to the week of March 11th, the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection subcontractors will continue installing piping, conduit, hangers, and ductwork in Area C and Area B. Crews will continue installing tread, risers, and railings for Stair #4 in Area C. Framing and sheathing of the exterior wall will continue at the 1st floor in Area C and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors Area B. Framing of the interior walls on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor in Area C and Area B, hanging drywall continues on the 2nd and 3rd floors in Area C. The concrete subcontractor will continue installing mesh & rebar for the slabs in Area A, with plans to pour concrete at the 4th and 3rd floor slab on decks. Roofing installation will continue. Building the masonry elevator shaft will continue. The site contractor will continue excavating and backfilling trenches to support the plumbers and electricians installing their respective piping and conduit.
Trucks, equipment, and deliveries will be a continuous presence at both the north and south gate entrances.
