Our construction update for the week of 4/19/2024 is below:
An overall site plan can be found on the last page of the update. This will help readers gain a better understanding of where on-site work is being performed.
During the week of April 15th, crews continue to prioritize enclosing the building from the elements by framing and sheathing the exterior wall at Area’s B & A. Installation of the roofing system continued. Installation of metal windows continues at the north elevations in Area C. Crews continued framing interior walls on all floors in Areas C and Area B. Hanging drywall has begun on the 2nd floor in Area C. The plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire protection subcontractors continued installing piping, conduit, hangers, and ductwork throughout. The concrete subcontractor poured concrete at the stair pans for Stair #3 and #4 in Area C. The site contractor completed preparing the subgrade at Area A and turned the area over to the concrete subcontractor to begin installing rebar. On Thursday crews conducted a shutdown of the water main in Washington St. to facilitate connecting the new building water line to the main. A new set of construction trailers arrived onsite, set up of those trailers will continue for the next week before the team removes the existing trailers adjacent to the tennis courts to allow work to occur in that area this summer.
Looking ahead to the week of April 22nd, crews from the mechanical trades will continue installing piping, conduit, hangers, and ductwork throughout. Framing and sheathing of the exterior wall will continue at Area B, and Area A. Installation of AVB and metal windows will continue at the north elevation of Area C. Roofing installation at the high roof in Area A will be completed, crews will turn their focus to the lower roofs. Framing of the interior walls on all floors in Area C and Area B continues, hanging drywall will continue on the 2nd floor in Area C. The Slab on Grade in Area C is scheduled to receive concrete Tuesday.
Trucks, equipment, and deliveries will be a continuous presence at both the north and south gate entrances.
