At the August 15, 2022 MSBC meeting the committee voted to recommend entering into a contract with W.T. Rich Company, Inc. for preconstruction services related to construction of the new Coakley Middle School. The selection was narrowed down from 8 CM firms to W. T. Rich company through an extensive qualifications, proposal, and interview process.
At the October 17, 2022 MSBC meeting the committee approved the Design teams 60% Construction Document (CD) submission to the MSBA. The design team is now working on updating plans for the 90% CD phase and submission to the MSBA which will be in January 2023.
In the upcoming months the project design team will be working the 90% CD documents, project permitting (zoning and planning board approvals), and preparing for trade contractor bidding with the help of the OPM and CM.
